Maker Studio Kidz provides campers with an incredible range of creative programs. There's something for everyone! Our camps span on a variety of topics; from sewing to sensory science experiements , to hands on building. Campers are encouraged to innovate, tinker, and think outside the box. Most of all, they're encouraged to have fun and explore the process of making! And don't worry, we'll take care of the mess.

Maker Studio Camps are broken into two groups:

Little Makers for kids entering grades K – 2nd; 5-7y/o

Makers for kids in 3rd - 6th grade.

Our summer camps are going to be held at our cozy Hayes Valley studio and at Alta Vista School in Portola.

Hours
The camp day runs from 9am – 3:00pm, with extended day options available from 8am to 5:30pm for Summer camps. During the school year time adjusts. Email hello@makerstudiokidz.com for more information.

Nothing is sweeter than summertime, and we are excited to celebrate with you at our sweetest camp of the summer, POP-tastic Creations camp!
Join us from June 17-21 for a summer camp like no other, where we will be exploring the world of Pop Art through our favorite muse: desserts! Throughout the week, we will design and fill our very own sweet shops, selling everything from donuts to cupcakes to ice cream cones!
Taking inspiration from our favorite Pop artists - Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, Sister Corita Kent, and more - we will learn the basics of printmaking and sculpture, using a variety of materials and techniques. At the end of the week, we will have a grand opening, where campers will present their pastry-box shops to parents and other campers!

Builders & Inventors Challenge

Class Experience
Calling all makers! Join us for this week of building challenges, adapted from our popular Maker-topia camp. Each day, campers will be presented with a supply of recycled materials and will have to use their ingenuity to solve a building challenge.

By the end of the week, students will have practiced the basics of cardboard engineering, rapid prototyping, and design thinking!

Projects may include: building miniature cars, automata, and mechanical grabbers!

Do you have an aspiring leader? Join us this year in the CIT program for aspiring future leaders. The CIT program of is designed for Upper Middle school and High Students. This a very competitive program that is designed to take campers who have demonstrated a strong desire to work with children and a love of camp to give them the skills and training to be successful future leaders at camp and elsewhere.
